About Us

Nehemiah Gateway works to empower individuals in need through education, social and medical services, and community development programs, supporting efforts such as scholarship-backed schooling for Roma, Balkan Egyptian, and low-income marginalized youth, special-needs education, speech therapy, and community social outreach, all aimed at fostering dignity, self-reliance, and long-term transformation.

Our mission is to help and empower people to sustainably shape and determine their lives in dignity and independence.

Our History

Nehemiah Gateway began in 1990s Albania, when founder Arnold Geiger was inspired to help the country recover from years of poverty and totalitarian rule. It evolved from providing basic humanitarian aid into long-term development projects, including schools and vocational programs; eventually expanding beyond Albania through the formation of the Nehemiah Gateway Team in 2010.

The US office has partnered with Nehemiah Gateway since 2001, when it was founded as Global Business Assist. In 2015, it officially became part of the Nehemiah Gateway Team and relocated its headquarters to Colorado, rebranding as Nehemiah Gateway USA. Today, it supports education and development projects in Southeastern and Eastern Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia - focused on helping communities become self-sufficient through the support of individual donors and foundation grants.
